Terms and Conditions:

Perkins Physiotherapy & Pilates Terms and Conditions:

These Terms and Conditions outline the expectations and responsibilities between clients and Perkins Physiotherapy & Pilates. By booking and attending appointments or classes, you agree to the following:

1. Appointments, Attendance, and Consent

  • Please arrive on time for your appointment or class.

  • If you arrive late, your session may be shortened to avoid delays for the next client.

  • Missed appointments without notice may incur a cancellation fee.

  • By attending an appointment, you consent to your physiotherapist performing examinations and treatment in line with their professional training and qualifications.

  • You may discuss the nature and purpose of your treatment at any time and may withdraw consent at any stage.

2. Cancellations and Rescheduling

We ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellation or rescheduling, to allow us to offer the appointment to another client.

  • Appointments: Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a $50 fee, charged to your account and payable at your next session.

  • Classes: Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice will result in either a deduction from your class pack or a charge for the full class fee.

Exceptions: We understand emergencies can arise. Exceptions may be granted at the clinic’s discretion.

3. Payment and Fees

  • Payment is required at the time of service unless prior arrangements are made.

  • We accept card payments, cash, and health fund claims via Tyro Health.

  • If you are eligible for rebates through Medicare, DVA, WorkCover, LTCS, or private health insurance, it is your responsibility to provide the necessary paperwork and ensure you are covered.

4. Group Classes

  • All Clinical Pilates sessions are physiotherapist-led and tailored to your individual needs.

  • To ensure safety and quality, group sizes are kept small (1:3 ratio).

  • Casual and block session fees are non-refundable, though rescheduling may be possible with sufficient notice.

5. Health and Safety

  • Please inform your physiotherapist of any changes in your health, medications, or injuries before your session.

  • While we provide safe and appropriate guidance, participation is at your own risk. We cannot be held responsible for injuries that occur from not following advice or instructions.

6. Confidentiality and Privacy

  • All personal and medical information is kept confidential in line with Australian Privacy Laws. Please see our Privacy Policy for details.

  • Information will only be shared with other health professionals with your consent, unless required by law.

  • By agreeing to these Terms, you consent to Perkins Physiotherapy & Pilates practitioners exchanging relevant medical information (e.g., injury details, significant medical history) with treating practitioners, rehabilitation consultants, case managers, or employers when necessary to support your care.

7. Communication

  • We may send appointment reminders and service updates via SMS or email.

  • Please notify us promptly if your contact details change.

8. Code of Conduct

  • We are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all clients.

  • Aggressive, abusive, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in termination of services.
