FAQs:

We understand that starting a new program or treatment can come with a few questions. Below you’ll find answers to some of the most common queries about our services, fees, bookings, and what to expect. If you can't find what you're looking for, feel free to get in touch — we're here to help.

How do I book my first appointment? You can get started by: •Calling us on 0412 634 966 •Filling in the contact form •Emailing us at anna@perkinsphysiotherapypilates.com.au If you’re using Medicare, DVA, or WorkCover funding, please have your referral or approval details ready.

Do you offer home visits? Although we do not routinely offer home visits, home visits may be available for: •NDIS participants •Older adults with mobility issues •Clients recovering from surgery or hospital stays Please contact us to discuss this further.

Do you accept WorkCover, SIRA or LTCS clients? Yes, we are registered providers. You’ll need: •A current physiotherapy referral •Approval from your case manager or insurer Once approved, we bill the insurer directly, so you won’t have any out-of-pocket expenses.

Are Clinical Pilates sessions covered by private health? Yes – if your Clinical Pilates sessions are part of a physiotherapy treatment plan and run by a physiotherapist, they may be claimed under item code 560 (group physiotherapy). We recommend checking with your health fund to confirm your eligibility and rebate amount.

What are the costs? Please see our fees below or on the relevant pages in the website

I am looking for dry needling or massage, do you offer these? At this time, we are unable to offer this service directly. However, we will ensure you receive a comprehensive, tailored exercise program designed to specifically address your needs and support your recovery.

Where can I park, and is it free? There is free parking available directly in front of the studio and in the surrounding side streets, with most spots offering 1-hour limits. For longer stays, a larger public car park is located behind the main Brunker Road shops. It’s a short walk to the studio, with safe access via the pedestrian crossing at the traffic lights. The studio is fully accessible, with no steps at entry and easy access for wheelchairs, walkers, or mobility aids

Do you have a bathroom available? Yes, we do - our bathroom is available for your use during your visit.

What should I wear to my appointment or Pilates class? Please wear comfortable, moveable clothing (like activewear). For Clinical Pilates, we request grip socks for your safety and hygiene.

Can I use DVA funding for physiotherapy? Yes – we support eligible DVA Gold Card and White Card holders with a valid GP referral. We bill DVA directly, and there is no cost to you for approved services.

Does Medicare cover physiotherapy? Yes – with a valid GP Management Plan (EPC/CDM), you may be eligible for up to five subsidised sessions per year. We do not bulk bill, but your Medicare rebate is processed at the time of your appointment, and you receive the refund directly into your bank account.

Can I claim through my private health fund? Yes! If you have extras cover that includes physiotherapy, you can claim rebates for individual and small group sessions. We offer on-the-spot claiming via Tyro, so you only need to pay the gap on the day.

Do I need a referral to see a physiotherapist? No referral is needed for private appointments. However, you will need a referral if you are accessing physiotherapy under: •Medicare (EPC/Chronic Disease Management) •DVA •WorkCover / SIRA •Lifetime Care and Support (LTCS)

I have scans or medical reports—should I bring them to my appointment? Yes, absolutely. If you have any recent scans or medical reports related to your current condition, we’d love to see them. These documents can provide valuable insight and help us better tailor your assessment and treatment. Please bring them along to your appointment, or feel free to email them in advance to Anna at anna@perkinsphysiotherapypilates.com.au

What is your cancellation policy? We understand that unforeseen circumstances may require you to cancel an appointment or class. However, we ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice to allow us to accommodate other clients. Fees for Late Cancellations •Appointments: Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will incur a $50 charge, which will be applied to your account and collected at your next appointment. •Classes: Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will result in either a deduction from your class pack or a charge for the full class fee, payable at your next appointment. Exceptions Exceptions to this policy may be made at the clinic's discretion.

How early should I arrive for my appointment? We recommend arriving 5-10 minutes prior to your appointment.
